Welcome to almost the last day of the Leafs Me Happy Blog Hop hosted by Madam Samm and Cherry, our hop cheerleader.
As of the first day of the hop, I had an idea for my block but had not started making it yet...and as blog hops are to do, I was inspired by one of the other blocks :)
So, my original plan was altered (and changed) to make room for my favorite fall poem to be added.
I actually did some fussy cutting for the leaves to show the "Autumn Views" (as I'll name this block) of this great material I got at JoAnn's and appliqued them on.
As I was using this fabric, I was also inspired to make a couple of potholders...
And since this is a fall blog hop and I love fall, here are some fun family photos of our fall here...

Here Daniel is praising God for revealing secrets to him. Daniel is showing that God is in control of everything...He can even change the time and seasons! It is a comfort to know that God is controlling things and allowing some circumstances to come through our lives to grow us, make us more reliant on Him, and build our faith in Him. The road sometimes seems long, but He will see us through!

ReplyDeleteWell your blocks are beautiful even if not the correct size. Love those fall fabrics you chose. I enjoyed your family pics. Fall was fast this year - we noticed it within just a couple of days. I think some of that was due to the summer drought and the trees just were done trying. :)

ReplyDeleteYour block looks very, very nice on the wall in your sewing room. How do you find time to sew with two such cute little girls. I think I did more sewing when my children were little! I found a way. I had more energy when I was young and I just did it. I love the granny squares. Your sewing is precise. I love it and I love math. I was a math major. They will make delightful and cheery pot holders. I found my Insulbrite today and this helps to inspire me to make some pot holders, too! I love the orange dots with it and the greens. Green is not one of my favorite colors and this just makes the block - good eye for color! Thank you for taking time from your busy life to participate in the blog hop and share your creativity. I love your use of scripture to inspire and calm. As we all do at times, I'm walking through a difficult time and the scripture was calming to remember that God is in control. Thank you for the reminder. It's nice to know there are those you are bold for the kingdom of God. You will be richly blessed!
