Stand Still...

These words are spoken to Job in chapter 37, verse 14...
and this week I decided to Bible journal it!

This is the finished design...

which was inspired from a picture that was taken
while I was on a missions trip back in 1998...
St. John, USVI is a beautiful place.
Well, I'm not sure what made me recall this particular picture for this journaling,
especially since it was stuffed in a scrapbook that I haven't probably had out in at least a year!

But I loved the way it turned out and now I want to try making a card like it!

I did a little more research about this passage since I made the video...
(which is just below here)

Not only does 'stand still' mean to stop,
but also to remain, be steadfast, and hold one's ground.

So, not only was God telling Job to stop and see how great a God He is,
but to also stand up and remain faithful to the God he was serving.
Job would need to do this since his friends were trying to convince him
that he had done some sort of fault, and that's why he had so much trouble.

Job remained faithful to God, and was rewarded with more than he started with...
God's ways are higher than ours, sometimes the trials are to chasten,
but others are for us to draw closer to God...
which may mean standing up for Him
or just getting us to slow down and praise Him
for His wondrous works!

So, lets see how to put this together in our Bibles or journals...
