High Tide Lighthouse Card...

Today's post is a bonus this week...just thought I'd share a card I finished today.

I love lighthouses and knew I had to get the High Tide set when I started deciding on what to order in my demonstrator kit.

One day I was going through some old papers and came across this picture I digitally scrap-booked years ago...

Bold Botanicals Paper Pumpkin...

This was the free Paper Pumpkin kit I received for signing up to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. It was from August 2016, which is still available for purchase, but there will be more details on that later.

Here are the projects you get with this particular Paper Pumpkin...
It includes 3 regular sized cards, 3 smaller cards, and 3 pocket cards. All very nice!

All the supplies are shown in the video:

Lift Me Up Card...

Along with a Giveaway!

Today's card(s) are made with just the Lift Me Up stamp set and parts from the August 2016 Bold Botanicals Paper Pumpkin kit.

The lighter color of the Hot Air Balloon was to give it a vintage-y look, but I think I like the darker on on the right.

Flying High Card...

Today for Hot Air Balloon Week we are going to make a card that does not have a sentiment on it, making it a nice to have on hand for any occasion when the need for a card arises.

This card seemed to come together rather smoothly and I really like the finished product.
The video below shows the process.

Hot Air Balloon Centerpiece...

A few extra blog posts happening this week for Balloon Week!

Today's post is about how to make the Hot Air Balloon Centerpiece to use for table decorations.

I made 3 of them for a birthday party this past weekend. The first two were made with scrapbook paper I had in my stash. But I'm pretty sure that the one made with the Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper (DSP) is my favorite.

You can watch the video below to see how I made it!

Woodlands Mountain Birthday Card...

Today's card uses only dies, paper, and adhesives...oh, and a little ink to write out the sentiment.
The background is die cut using a die cutting machine with the Stampin' Up! dies set, Outdoor Adventure. (Links to the products used are at the end of the blog post*.)

January 2017 Paper Pumpkin...

It turned out to be really a nice set. Truthfully, when I first opened it, I was slightly disappointed, but I let it sit a while...and as it got a little closer to Valentine's day, it grew on me more. Also, signing up to be a demonstrator gave me more incentive and ideas to get into Paper pumpkins a little more...

Flourishing Birthday...

On Monday, I did the Flourishing Rose Red card with just the stamp set. Well, the next day my shipment arrived from Stampin' Up! with my flourish thinlits dies.

So, today, we are going to do another flourish card...adding in the flourish dies.
This first example is made using Mint Macaron.

The second (and the one shown in the video) is made with Night of Navy.

Flourishing Rose Red...

The idea for this card started on Friday with using Calypso Coral ink and Smokey Slate ink...

I made a sample ahead of taking the process video, and used the second coral colored card base for the first take of the video. However, that video was at a bad angle and I was out of frame most of the time...

Back to how it started...

But with a new twist!

When I started my blog, Home Designs by Amanda, it was a name I had previously used on homemade cards I would give to family and friends. However, on the blog, my main craft posts usually consisted more about sewing and fabric crafts.

Now, I have a new endeavor I'm very excited about that takes me back to the world of homemade cards and paper crafts...which is where the name originated! I'm now an Independent Stampin' Up Demonstrator!
